Aprés Match

I don't know if any town in Limerick will resemble the Brazilian Carnival celebrations this Sunday night but they might come close!!!

Nobody knows who will be taking home the Daly Cup this Sunday. I'll be hoping the Kilmallock Senior team will be rolling into Kilmallock with some silverware and ready for a night of celebrating. Which brings me to today's post, What to wear to the after party?

There are 2 options...

  • Option 1: My personal favourite, is a quick and easy look that never fails to impress. If you choose to wear an outfit similar to that in my last post all you have to do is lose the layers and make sure you have your favourite pair of heels in the car.

Sexy As; The stunning Victoria's Secret Angel's are pictured working the
jeans, heels and tee combo. I agree not everybody could pull off the Shiny Pink bomber!!!

By switching pretty pumps for sexy stilettos you are transformed into a Gaelic Glamourpuss. In my opinion there is nothing sexier than jeans, heels and a simple tee!

  • Option 2: Sometimes the super sexy jeans, heels and t-shirt look won't work. Perhaps you feel like celebrating in style and if that's the case why not raise the bar. A dress is a very safe option. Simply because it's one piece, you don't have to worry about your top half with your bottom half. Dress down your favourite dress for a more casual ensemble by wearing a sharp fitted blazer and ankle boots.

Full time result whatever you decide to wear?
One killer outfit!

Game On!

As the crowds swarm into the Gaelic Grounds this Sunday for one of the biggest social sporting events in the county, wearing the right thing can be a concern for some girls especially when the only apparel available is ill fitting unisex tops and jerseys. Fortunately Gaelic Couture has created some chic casual t-shirts to help you along the way.

Sexy, Simple, Stylish is what today's look is all about. The key piece for this look is the Retro Style Long Tee from Gaelic Couture. Another cute tee from our brand with a vintage vibe. What makes this t-shirt even nicer is it's longer length which looks divine teamed with a pair of dark jeggings. A plus is that the dark colours are very slimming on the legs and remember there is no need to go out and spend a fortune either as Dunnes Stores have a top class selection of leggings and jeggings at the moment all available at excellent prices. Keep warm whether your in the covered stand or in the open terrace with a Boyfriend cardigan in your team colours. Every girl should have one of these in her wardrobe as they are so versatile and can be dressed up or down.

Footwear for this chic look is totally up to you and your individual style and needs. If the sun is shining a pair of pumps add a touch of girly glamour. I love this pair from Office which take inspiration from Chanel's classic pump.

Sunglasses give you the advantage as a spectator! Channel the sideline style of style savvy spectators such as Victoria Beckham, Gisele Bunchden and Brooklyn Decker. Always bring your shades along on game day. There is nothing worse than squinting throughout a match. Sunglasses protect your eye area from any UV damage caused by the sun yet another reason to have them handy.

To Score yourself one of these tee's contact us through the Gaelic Couture facebook page but be quick as they are limited edition.

Who do you look to for spectator style tips? All comments welcome.

Match Perfect Style...

Seeing as this is a brand new blog for Gaelic Couture I wanted to create some looks that reflect my own life as a proud supporter of Kilmallock GAA! One of my favourite things about being a fan is when its match day. I can't wait to go into the gaelic grounds to support our senior team next Sunday. To make life easier for those of you wondering what to wear while cheering for your own team these looks can adapt to every supporter.

Now that Autumn has kicked in...

The conkers are on the ground, the GAA season is at it's peak as finals take place nationwide vest tops and flip flops just won't make the grade anymore.

At this time of year it's very important to layer up. It's not too cold but we need to be cozy while cheering if it gets breezy in the stand! The todays looks are all about layering so your ready for any kind of weather.

Boyfriend jeans are huge again this season so take advantage of the flattering style. If the sun is shining and your really brave rolling up the hem will score high in the fashion stakes. I love these from Levi's Jeans at ASOS.com team the jeans with a white vest and a cute tee in your team colours like the fitted crewneck tee from Gaelic Couture to really show your support. Sitting in stand can get nippy so layering is essential a fitted cardi will keep your look femine. Finish off your ensemble with one of autumn's biggest trends the leather aviator jacket. These jackets are everywhere I love the Next version but I have been a little indulgent here and pictured Burberry's aviator let's just say it's a tad more expensive! There you have it ladies a winning look.

When it comes to footwear stiletto's aren't a favourite for everybody so if you want to be comfortable and still look great I love All Star converse. If your not a fan of converse then keep cozy with a pair off ugg boots.

Unless we are talking about a green and white flag or plait of wool to show team spirit accessories are not a match essential you will only be fiddling with them while your trying to watch the game. My advice is if you don't wear it everyday don't bother with it on match day!

Of course the colors are reflecting my team spirit, so have fun with your colors! Make outfits pop with some contrast. Also these outfits can be easily mixed and matched depending on the weather or what you are in the mood for that day.

What's your  favourite way to sport match style? Share your thoughts.

GAA glamour has landed...

You sit on your bed, frustrated, staring into the wardrobe. Tops, Tees and Trousers everywhere. You are leaving in twenty minutes and you still don't know what the hell your going to put on! You hear the abuse from the male members of your family coming from the kitchen "C'mon will ya! It's just a match"....

Have you ever been in this position? Then look no further.

I am well aware it's a match your going. Nonetheless its a match in a usually blustery large open field or GAA grounds in Ireland where the weather changes more often than Henry Shefflin can score. There are so many factors to take into consideration from the type of match, to the venue to the weather. Along with the upcoming launch of Gaelic Couture and this new blog I'm hoping I can give some great hints and tips on looking stylish on the sideline without other supporters thinking Carrie Bradshaw has gotten lost!

Throw it in and enjoy!
